Sitting at your computer exchanging messages can be a great way of getting to know people, but nothing beats actually getting out there and expanding your social circle.

So once you’ve found a group who seem like they’re on the same wavelength as you and your friends, why not invite them for a Flingle?

Of course, if you’re popular you might find that it’s the rest of the world inviting you and your friends out!

All you need to do is suggest a date, a time and place, and describe the invitation you’re suggesting.

It could be a meal, a night clubbing or even a shopping expedition; set up your invitation and see what they say.

The members of both groups can leave their comments about the suggested meeting - once again this is a great way to make the exact arrangements without having to give up your personal details.

The group who set up the invite can cancel the Flingle at any stage, although hopefully you won’t want to.

After a discussing the suggestion, the other group must decide whether to accept or reject the invitation. If the date isn’t convenient, why not reject it and immediately suggest an alternative?

Hopefully they will choose to accept and then the real fun should begin... actually meeting up.

This is the point where we’ll leave you to get on with it yourselves, although please make sure you’ve read our all-important safety tips before you take the plunge and go for a Flingle.

And at all times remember the one golden rule - Flingle is all about having a good time.
