Flingle is a website dedicated to getting groups of people together for a good time. Our site lists hundreds of groups from across the country, and if you and your friends sign up, you can search our site for other groups to meet up with.
There are loads of good reasons to join Flingle. Maybe you're a group of single girls looking for Mr Right, or a bunch of old friends looking to meet some new people with similar interests. Maybe you're planning a weekend away in a new city and would like to be shown round by some good-looking locals!
There must be hundreds of thousands of people out there interested in meeting new people and having a good time. They might even leave round the corner from you. With Flingle.com you can find them.
There are plenty of sites out there offering singles experiences, online matchmaking and one-on-one dates. But Flingle is different - we’re NOT a dating site. Flingle is about meeting up and having fun, whether you’re looking for love or just wanting to meet some interesting new people.
What’s more, meeting new people with a group of your mates is even better because you can be safe in the knowledge that if you don’t get on with the other group, you can just walk away and have a night out with your friends anyway.
Simply sign yourself up to Flingle and get your friends to sign up too. Once your friends are members, you can create groups of your mates. There’s no restriction to how many groups you can create - you might have a group of old schoolfriends, a group of workmates and a group of friends from your local pub, for instance.
Once your groups have been created, you can search for other compatible groups in our database. Once you’ve seen a group you like, click on the green smiley face to let them know that you’re interested in contacting them. If they like the look of you, they’ll give you a green face too. But don’t be disheartened if they don’t give you the response you were looking for - there’ll be plenty more groups in our database for you to contact.
Once both groups have given each other the green light, you can start to send messages to each other using Flingle’s special messaging service. The service allows you to send messages to people without having to give away any of your personal details such as your email address or phone number.
If at any time you’re not happy with the messages you’ve received, or you’ve decided that the group don’t seem compatible for you after all, you can simply swap the green smiley face for an amber question mark, or even a red light. The other group won’t be able to contact you any more.
Assuming the messaging goes well, you’ll probably want to invite the group to meet up with you. You can do this by arranging a ‘Flingle’ through the website. All you need to do is suggest a date and location, and describe the invitation you've got in mind. It could be a meal, a pub crawl or a night out clubbing.
Both groups can leave comments before deciding whether to accept, reject or cancel the invitation. Hopefully they’ll agree and you can meet up. And that's where the fun should begin!
